FEES FOR SERVICE

Our rates follow the recommended fee schedule for Ontario speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychologists. In addition to paying our highly-skilled clinicians a fair wage, the fees help cover the overhead costs involved in running a clinic, such as rent, administrative staff, office supplies, test materials, toys, equipment, training, insurance, and college dues. We also invest in professional development so we can continue to provide you with the highest level of service.

PAYMENT AND FINANCIAL OPTIONS

Payment can be made in advance or at the end of the session by cash, e-transfer, or credit card.

Insurance Coverage

Most insurance coverage companies have an amount that can be used for speech-language pathology services. Once you have paid for your session, you will be provided with a receipt to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. At this time, we do not bill insurance companies directly.

Disability Tax Credit

You or your child may be eligible for a Disability Tax Credit (DTC). Should you wish to apply for DTC, we can provide a letter outlining the areas in which you require support. Once the application is submitted, Canada Revenue Agency will determine your eligibility.

Income Tax Deductions

Did you know that fees for speech-language pathology services can be claimed as a medical expense on your taxes? A complete list of eligible medical expenses are available on the Canada Revenue Agency website.

Ontario Autism Program (OAP)

As qualified psychology, speech and language professionals, our services are eligible for coverage through the Ontario Autism Program, which offers support to families of children and youth on the autism spectrum.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to the time that is required to prepare sessions, we require at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. In order to accommodate mild illnesses or other conflicts, we can move in-person appointments to virtual sessions.

For last-minute cancellations, we charge a flat fee of $50. We will use your scheduled time to gather additional therapy resources, review your therapy goals, and correspond or consult with others in your or your child’s circle of care.

We understand that things come up on short notice, but our goal is to help as many clients as possible. By giving us adequate notice, we are able to schedule other clients who are waiting for our services.
